This patient did not like the appearance of her bulging eyelid vein. Although they can sometimes be treated with a long-pulse YAG laser, it is somewhat painful, risky around the eye, and usually multiple treatments are needed. This patient elected to have the vein removed surgically via two tiny skin incisions on the side of her eye. The result is three months after the vein ligation. Notice the complete elimination of the vein. There is a small bump left from the lower incision that usually resolves within six months of the procedure. The patient was delighted with her result!
