Cosmetic eyelid revision surgery may take longer to perform than primary blepharoplasty, since it is generally a more complex procedure. Like primary cosmetic eyelid surgery, cosmetic eyelid revision surgery can be performed under general anesthesia or a combination of local anesthesia with sedation.

The incisions created for the primary procedure will be used whenever possible. The pre-selected revision techniques will then be performed.
