Can you believe it’s autumn already? Although we’re a little sad that summer is over, we’re excited about the new beginnings that the autumn season always seems to bring. This month we bring you updates on Dr. Enzer’s recent travels, information on skin laser services, and much more.
What’s New With Dr. Enzer
Dr. Enzer is ready and energized to provide the top level aesthetic services you have come to expect from our office. He and his wife Karen, in honor of their anniversary, have just returned from the lake regions of Switzerland and Northern Italy. “Traveling, exploring new cultures and regional cuisines, and meeting people from all over the world help to bring a more global perspective to everything I do, and that is very important in my profession,” said Dr. Enzer.
Speaking of the professional note, Dr. Enzer and his colleagues in the Brown University’s Department of Dermatology have developed a new technique for BOTOX® and Dysport® injections. Some of you may have been study or video subjects, and we appreciate your cooperation so that doctors all over the world can provide the best and most natural results for their patients. The technique has been accepted for presentation at two national/international meetings this fall, and hopefully will be published in a leading medical journal in the near future.

Our Fraxel® laser treatments are performed right here in our Providence office, while the carbon dioxide and TotalFX® lasers are outpatient treatments. New Product: Belotero®
Belotero® is a new dermal filler from the makers of Radiesse® that has been used in the UK and is now FDA approved for use in the United States. It is one out of only three hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers approved by the FDA for fine upper lip lines as well as moderate to severe wrinkles and folds. We are excited to offer Belotero® in our office within the next few months. Stay tuned!
Product of the Season: Eye Creams
We love eye creams! Unlike regular facial moisturizers, eye creams are specifically formulated to gently treat and nourish the delicate skin around the eyes. Ordinary moisturizers and skin care products are often too strong for this fragile area, so treat your eyes with care. With regular use of an eye cream, you can put off signs of aging such as puffiness, dark circles, fine lines, and wrinkles.
We offer a variety of eye creams here in our office. Neostrata’s Bionic Eye Cream is a lightweight cream with vitamin K, green tea, cucumber, and antioxidants. Epionce’s Renewal Eye Cream is a medium-weight cream that seamlessly integrates into your Epionce routine. This cream focuses on strengthening and hydrating the natural protective skin barrier around the eye area. Lastly, Vivite’s Revitalizing Eye Cream is a heavier cream with 10% glycolic compound to help maintain your glycolic routine. Glycolics gently exfoliate while the moisturizing component hydrates and protects.

Did You Know?
There are two main types of wrinkles – dynamic wrinkles and static wrinkles. Dynamic wrinkles are caused when we contract our facial muscles to make facial expressions, such as smiling or frowning. As we age, our skin becomes less and less able to spring back to its original position after making these expressions, which eventually causes static wrinkles. Static wrinkles are the lines that are still visible when our facial muscles are at rest or when we are not forming facial expressions.
