Before: This woman had a poorly defined basal cell carcinoma (skin cancer) in the inner eyelid area. This is called the medial canthus, and is one of the most difficult regions to reconstruct on the face, owing to its concave contour. Unfortunately, her skin cancer was very extensive, ad resulted in the lose of her entire medial canthus after MOHS surgery (a technique used to remove skin cancers).

After: Five months after plastic surgery to repair the medical canthal defect. The defect was reconstructed by taking a flag-shaped section of skin from between her brow area, and transferring it as a flap into the right inner canthus. She has an excellent functional and cosmetic result and is very please with her outcome.
