Eye Socket (orbital) Surgery

The orbit (eye socket) contains an intricate system which enables one to see: the eye itself, muscles, optic nerve, arteries, and surrounding tissues. Disease processes can affect the stability of this system causing pressure and swelling around or behind the eye. This can cause the eye to be pushed forward, double vision, or even vision loss. The indication for surgery depends upon the nature and progression of a disease.
