Neck Liposuction/Liposculpture

Liposuction used to be a procedure designed to remove fat. Now we look at the procedure as one of recontouring (in fact many have proposed changing the name to liposculpture). By creating small tunnels under the skin, and sculpting the fat layer in the process, one can get a new and more youthful three-dimensional shape. The process also creates an internal scar, which then tightens the treatment area.

Neck liposuction recontours the region underneath the chin. This is best suited for people of young to middle age, and those with good skin elasticity. This procedure can be safely done as an office procedure with minimal downtime (usually 3-5 days). For people with excessively loose or very heavy skin in the neck area, a lower facelift would be the procedure of choice.
